2013 PARADE  NEWS  UPDATE

29TH ANNUAL SOUTHERN MAINE CHRISTMAS PARADE CANCELLEDGood afternoon everyone: We just met with Fire Chief/Emergency Management Director Dan Moore regarding the weather forecast for Sunday. The National Weather Service in Gray is calling for 8-12” of snow beginning Saturday evening through noon on Sunday. They are also expecting splash-over at the beach areas during high tide at approximately 9:30am on Sunday. Due to this forecast and keeping everyone’s safety in mind, we are cancelling the 2013 Christmas Parade scheduled for this Sunday, December 15. On behalf of the board and staff at the Wells Chamber of Commerce, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
